For Mental Health Awareness Month, the Town of Niskayuna is collaborating with Niskayuna Community Action Program (N-Cap) and Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Parish to offer another free community program focused on behavioral health and addiction treatment.
The course teaches participants the risk factors and warning signs of a variety ofmental health challenges common among adolescents, including anxiety, depression, psychosis, eating disorders, AD/HD, disruptive behavior disorders, and substance use disorders. Participants do not learn to diagnose. Participants learn to support a youth developing signs and symptoms of a mental illness or in an emotional crisis.
You are invited to join us for the Mental Health Awareness Month presentation and community conversation on the Youth Mental Health First Aid Program on Monday, May 17th at 7:00 p.m. via zoom. Please RSVP to Lisa Kuban at kubanl@stkateriprish.org to receive the link.
